Us

Mauro Builders is owned by Shawn and Michelle Mauro.  Shawn is a highly skilled and motivated carpenter and builder.  He attended Porter and Chester vocational school and studied architectural drafting and design.  After graduation, he worked for an engineering firm utilizing his skills.  In 1994, his drive for success, led him to start his own company.  Shawn's knowledge in construction and architecture design are the perfect blend, aiding in his well thought out floor plans and home designs.

Michelle joined the company in 2005 and brought her business and finance knowledge to the company.  Prior to Mauro Builders, Michelle worked for a global home and personal care company as a material planner, production scheduler and also a chemical buyer.  Michelle's eye for detail and effective organization offers a valuable addition to the company.

Since 2002, we have been building quality homes in Connecticut and have over 25 years hands on experience.  Our projects range from residential new construction homes to large scale remodeling and additions.  We can design you a home with your budget in mind. We pay close attention to the wishes, needs and desires you are looking to obtain within your home, and will build it from the ground up while handling every detailed aspect that occurs in between. We strive to design and build your home in the most cost effective timely fashion.  

 

We have extensive knowledge in FEMA requirements and specialize in ways to achieve the best energy efficiency.
